Some rides don't give you a long, extended view. But they give you enough such that you're refreshed as your bus zooms past them enroute to wherever you are, and here, along Nicoll Highway, grants you one of the loveliest views when you're heading downtown from the eastern side.
It's a view that grants you the OCBC Aquatic Center, the big (new) stadium that once used to be the open-air National Stadium, and the Kallang River basin that stretches down all the way to the Marina Barrage that leads to the open sea and which sight of open, clear water grants a glimpse of Nature amongst us in our very busy world.
