Bangkok: Silom Again

Breakfast this morning was at OPEN Restaurant downstairs of Doubletree.

However, unlike previous mornings where I had whetted up an appetite, today my appetite was a wee bit lower, and so, instead of the East-West fusion which I had been having the past few mornings, today I decided to stick with an omelet, and a plate of noodles with a little bit of salad.

The omelet, surprisingly runny, was something I hadn't expected, but I liked it.

I'm the kind who prefers my omelets and scrambled eggs runny, but boiled eggs three-quarter boiled such that the yolk is a round orange ball.

Come to think of it, I might have planned to take other food, but at the buffet counter amidst all the other dishes, there were these stir-fried flat rice noodles that reminded me of Pad Thai, so I took some, and because I passed by the salad counter, decided I'd have a portion of tomatoes, onions and leeks with salad cream as well.

After breakfast we headed back to the room to get some work done and prepare for a meeting afterwards, then headed out to Ploenchit Center for a quick lunch.

Not having enough time to hunt about for dining options, we settled on the very first place we saw- Bangkok Cafe- and went in for a quick meal.

My friend took a Basil Pork Rice.

I took Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Soy Sauce.

A little on the oily side, but smooth on the tongue, very tasty on the palate, and overall, good.

From here we headed to the Silom area for a meeting at the British Club.

The conversation was cordial, pleasant, and hopeful.

For which I am immensely glad for.

After it finished we decided to go back to Silom the same place where we had been just the day before but instead of going by Grab, we walked there.

For a good hour we wandered a bit up and down, wondering whether we ought to do any dinner, but because we were still full from lunch, we decided we'd have a BOOST Juice each instead and settle for supper if we got hungry afterwards.
